Critter Crunch puts you in the body of Biggs who may look harmless but actually has quite a long tongue to defend himself. Creatures fall from the top of the screen as Biggs desperately tries to slurp them up with his tongue in order to deliver them into the waiting mouths of larger creatures. The creatures come in small, medium, and large sizes. Biggs must fill up the bellies of these critters until they literally pop. If there is a medium sized creature, then feeding it one small creature will make it large. Feed it one more and it’ll explode. You score points by trying to get creatures of the same color next to each other before they explode. You’re then awarded a gem whose size depends on the combo you managed to pull off. The gems also fill up a meter on the side of the screen that acts as a progress bar which moves you on to the next stage once filled.

Critter Crunch includes an Adventure Mode, Puzzle Mode, Time Trial, and Survival Mode keep the action fresh for any situation. You drag Biggs around the screen with your finger, and tap the screen to make him grab anything above him. If you give the screen one more tap Biggs will spit the creature right back up.
