Now that the second Gears of War adventure has garnered stellar reviews, it is a foregone conclusion that gamers will do whatever is necessary to obtain a copy, if only so they can figure out who is the best player among them. Of course, it’s not always easy to know the best place to acquire a game.
I am used to obtaining my games at GameStop, as I have become used to their varied selection and friendly customer service. My friends, though, have become uncomfortable with GameStop’s methods and have thus decided to purchase their games at stores such as Best Buy and Wal-Mart. While there are other avenues that exist when it comes to getting games, these stores are frequently looked upon as the most reliable, not to mention the cheapest.
There used to be another store mentioned in that breath and that store was Circuit City. However, considering its recent problems, that may not hold true for much longer.
Nevertheless, while Circuit City may be on the decline, they have still found a way to make themselves relevant in the gaming market. According to 1UP, gamers who preorder the game will receive a free 1600 Microsoft Point card.
This deal looks pretty appetizing for gamers who love to feast on the downloadable content that Microsoft offers in their games and in the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The only negative to this deal is that you actually have to place the order in person but, for a reward this nice, it is definitely worth it.
