Gaming gear from Japan: Variable optical mouse

by PJ Hruschak on Jun 23, 2007 at 09:57 AM

Gamertell JList JBox Variable Mouse Here’s another gaming item from J-List, Peter Payne’s site that specializes in all thing Japanese (aka J-Box for those under 18).

Think of the Variable 3-button 2.4 GHz Wireless Optical Mouse as the second stage in Transformers taking over computers.

At $85, this mouse by Elecom is not just a novelty purchase but a luxury item that bends to your will and to better fit your hand. It rotates into two positions, flat and angled, making for a better feel and better storage when traveling. It also includes a touch sensor scroll pad instead of a wheel.

From the site:

“Instead of clicking a clickwheel there’s a thumb button on the left side for the middle or third button. Finally, the 2.4 GHz Bluetooth USB receiver has an ultra-convenient slot within the mouse that you can house it in for easy storage when you’re on the go - it clicks nicely into the spring-loaded slot. Includes CD with driver with Windows drivers (ME, 98, 2000, XP, Vista drivers are downloadable). Works on a Mac, too.”
