Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars has been given a good amount of praise since its release but its sales figures were not as high as we may have thought. Chinatown Wars only sold 89,000 copies in the United States during the first 18 days of release and Nintendo believes the game will sale consistently high in the long run.

If word of mouth is what Nintendo is hoping for then no one has a bigger mouth than GameStop. GameStop currently has a Live Like a Chinatown Mob Boss contest going on that has a beefy grand prize.

The grand prize winner of the contest will receive a first-class plane ride for up to four people (including yourself) to New York City, a luxury limousine, a two night stay at Soho Grand Hotel, dinner for five at a five star restaurant, access to a VIP room in a NYC nightclub, two models, two bodyguards and $5000 in “bribe money.” That is probably the most extravagant grand prize a videogame has ever offered. Gamestop will also give ten first prize winners a $500 GameStop gift card.

There are three ways to enter this contest. You could text “GTA” to 65579 beginning today (April 22, 2009) until noon May 17, 2009 (central time), visit the contest site and follow the directions or send an e-mail with the subject line as “Enter Me” to gta@themarketingarm.com. The body of the message must include your first name, last name and telephone number. You can only enter once through these methods otherwise your entry will be voided.
