To my pleasant surprise, not only did they confirm that the GBA version of the system is still available to be installed in vehicles but that the company is also looking into a DS and/or Wii version. Here’s the official response from a Visteon Corporate Communications representative:
A “new product line,” eh? Sounds highly promising. Soon you may be cruisin’ the streets with a DS- or Wii-capable device that also plays DVDs and CDs of all sorts. Just imagine the new level of coolness - and a more literal take on the phrase “back seat driver” - you’ll experience playing Mario Kart on the road.
Oops, I think thousands of excited gamers just simultaneously peed a little at the mere thought of wirelessly playing DS games.
