The latest Atlus newsletter offers an interesting deal for Atlus fans. Apparently, Game Crazy stores are going to be getting a limited stock of old Atlus games to sell. People who stop in can place an order for some select Atlus titles. The deal isn’t available online - the email clearly states that you have to actually visit a Game Crazy store to take part. The ad doesn’t say anything about prices, so make sure to ask before placing any orders.
The ad clearly shows six games, with at least four hard to find titles. Trauma Center: Under the Knife for the DS is shown, but it isn’t all that rare. You can probably still find it used at a GameStop. I can say the same for the PS2 game Growlanser: Heritage of War - I think the GameStop nearest my house even has a used copy. The four other games are a different story. The PS2 horror title Rule of Rose is rare and I’ve heard good things about it. All three GBA games shown, Lufia: The Ruins of Lore, Riviera: The Promised Land and Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation, can also be pretty hard to find.
Personally, I’d recommend Riviera if you have a DS or GBA. Its a pretty fun game, with voice acting and an interesting approach to journeying and building character bonds. I’ve heard wonderful things about Rule of Rose as well, and fans of Silent Hill, Fatal Frame or Haunting Ground might want to at least read up about it.
