Funkitron is currently offering the addictive strategy boardgame, Blokus, as a free online PC game through its web site, Blokus.com. To play, you strategically place Tetris-esque pieces on a game board without touching while blocking another player’s moves.

Since multi-talented artist and engineer Bernard Tavitian introduced this game to boardgame publisher Sekkoia in 2000, Blokus has become a big hit, eventually winning more than 20 prestigious awards including the Mensa Select, Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum, Dr. Toy and Parent’s Choice Gold Award.

The site requires a free registration that takes about five minutes to complete. Once registered,  you can compete against the thousands of other players or challenge the computer to a game.

This game will keep you playing for hours.  Before you know it, you’ll be dreaming of colored blocks in your sleep.
