If you’ve ever dabbled in one of the many free-to-play massive multiplayer online games, you’ll know that each one celebrates real world holidays in their own way. Halloween is no exception, with many different games from Nexon, Aeria, Joymax, IGG, GameMasters.com, GamesCampus, Outspark,  Gametribe.com, Ntreev and OGPlanet all hosting special events to coincide with the holiday season.

So, to make things easier on you, Gamertell has looked throughthe MMOs from the above publishers and compiled a list of the spooky happenings in select MMOs. Most of these events last until shortly after October 31, 2008, but many MMOs are hosting multiple Halloween events with multiple expiration dates.

• Mabinogi: Trick-or-Treating with NPCs with the “Trick or Treat” keyword and pumpkin hat obtained from completing the quest involving the living scarecrow outside Dunbarton, living scarecrow event outside Dunbarton, limited edition premium character cards with skeleton costumes, limited edition mini-skeleton pet and roll call event to get full recovery potions and possibly win Dustin Silver Knight armor. Trick or Treating ends November 2, 2008, all other promotions end November 5, 2008.
• Silkroad Online: Collect jewel boxes to trade for wizard/witch costume items until November 11, 2008.
• CABAL Online: Defeat Jack O Lanterns to receive tickets, and the 50 people with the most tickets on each server will receive prizes. Halloween items (costumes, potions, items and weapons) have been added to the cash shop. Promotions end November 6, 2008.
• Last Chaos: Log in and play for the chance to be randomly picked to win G-11 gaming keyboards.
• Shaiya: Five Halloween masks are available as random item drops from monsters.
• Twelve Sky: People who transform into monsters using scrolls may receive treats from Aeria Gamemasters.
• Cronus: A Halloween monster has been added, and people can use drops from it to create pumpkin heads, pumpkin robes and party dresses. The event ends November 3, 2008.
• Pi Story: New monster NPCs have been added into the game.

• Dream of Mirror: NPCs have been added in that will either trick or provide treats for your characters. There is also a Trick or Treat quest, Halloween Goodiebags are also in the item shop.
• Dreamlords: Until November 1, 2008, players can battle Pumpkin Head monsters to get pieces of a weapon to defeat the Pumpkin King and get a Batty familiar. The Altar of Cynos also has Halloween items.
• Richman Online: The 100 players with the most exp will receive 500 AP on November 2, 2008.
• Shot Online: The main square has tricks and treats, each character has three different new autumn outfits and there are Halloween golf clubs and balls. These promotions end October 31, 2008.
• Asda Story: There will be GM events held in game, Halloween costumes, trick or treating at NPCs’ places in Alpen, monsters may drop Halloween candy and a Halloween monster has been added to the game. Events end November 10, 2008.
• Manga Fighter: GMs will give away items in games, and double exp and Don giveaways will be awarded until October 31, 2008.
• Zu Online: Players can collect item drops from monsters and the cash shop to create Jack-o’ Lanterns and NPC Jack will be wandering around Holy City, Desert City and the Hexad Region trick or treating until November 3, 2008.
• Fiesta: Costumes are available in the Fiesta store, a costume contest is held until November 4, 2008 involving Fiesta store costumes and daily events are held from October 27-31, 2008.
• Secret of the Solstice: Five masks are available in the Solstice store and daily events are held from October 27-31, 2008.
• MapleStory: Singapore area has been added, monsters are dropping Gachapon boxes, Phantom Forest has a haunted house with Halloween Party quests and mini-dungeons have been added. Some outfit packages in the cash shop are on sale.
• Trickster Online: Nyxx and Noxx pets were sold between October 14-22, 2008. From October 28-31, 2008, Ntreev will give players a free gacha coin for every 5,000 cash points added to an account. Candy is being given away in-game that can be traded for items, and Corvid and Rosaline pets and items have been added to the cash shop.
• La Tale: Players can take screenshots to create a Beast Bingo board and participate in Beast Bingo on October 30-31, 2008.
