Free Realms revs up with Speedway Thunder expansion
All you Free Realmers out there will be happy to know that the game's already huge environment has just gotten, well, huge-r.
Free Realms, the free-to-play online MMORPG has expanded the race car derby, Speedway Thunder. The additions, Kart Racers and Demo Derby Drivers, offer professional progression and allow players to do a bit of racing while earning trophies and quest rewards including wearables and car parts.
Two new tracks have been added, Thunder Falls Speedway and Sandstone Speedway, along with more than 40 new quests per job. Two new car models have been added, Slicer and Trio, along with 18 new karts which include Classic custom karts starting at 400 Station Cash, Prime high performance karts starting at 550, and Supreme upgraded karts starting at 700, all available for purchase in the Station Cash Marketplace.
Along with new cars, there are also several new car upgrades including steering, engine, turbo and tires just, to name a few. You can mix and match these new upgrades until your car is just the way you want it.
Also included in this new expansion is a personal garage. You can store and tune up your rides as much as you’d like, view multiple angles of your car with a new garage camera controller and access your garage by talking to certain mechanics near the speedways.
Plus, you can buy new racing apparel so you can match your car as you zoom it along the track. For those Card Duelists out there, you can get an exclusive Cardie Racer as part of the items included with the Free Realms Trading Card Game Passport to Free Realms Starter Deck, available at select retailers.
This new expansion is now available in the game and requires no additional download.

Nice addition to the game. I haven’t tried it yet though. I’m too focused on the ninja job.
