I just received the email today! (What email?) The email telling me that, since I was one of the first 999,999 people to sign up for Free Realms, I’m now a member of the Million Players Club! It’s an honor, really, and one that isn’t without its perks.
See, Sony’s free-to-play, online game Free Realms, which only just officially opened April 29, 2009, already has over one million people playing. To celebrate, Sony decided to do something nice for the first 999,999 players and the one millionth player.
The first 999,999 people to register and play Free Realms should be receiving an email very soon.
This email notifies you that one million people have registered for Free Realms. Then, as sort of a combination celebration gift and thank you, it states that an exclusive in-game T-shirt, in-game pet t-shirt and 200 Station Cash have been added to your account. All you have to do is log in and claim your gifts!
The lucky one millionth player received an orange astronaut suit for his/her character. This orange suit is the only one available in the whole game, so congratulations to the lucky player who got one!
Here’s how you claim your prize!
Don’t be worried if your items aren’t there yet, or your wallet still has no Station Cash in it. It could take a while for the items to show up. I only just received my special beta testers cap this weekend, and the email notice for that came out weeks ago.
