First Mass Effect 2 downlaodable content will be free

Important Importables
Jenni Lada brings us information about all of the groovy new gaming imports from around the world.

The original Mass Effect was seriously lacking in the downloadable content department. Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station were arguably released too late to make the impact it was otherwise poised to make. EA and BioWare won’t be making the same mistake twice and has confirmed launch day downloadable content for Mass Effect 2.
In a recent tweet, BioWare confirmed it would not charge for Mass Effect 2‘s launch day downloadable content. At the same time BioWare did not state what this content consists of.
BioWare also said in the tweet that more details about this DLC will be announced sometime this week. There’s no better time to spill the beans given that Mass Effect 2 will be released in nine days (January 26, 2010) for Xbox 360 and Windows.
I would like to have a choice between multiple types of content such as new weapons, armor or skills. Mass Effect is all about choices so why not play into that by giving us one free piece of content based on what we think our character would benefit from the most. However we can all agree that whatever it is, free is good.
