Fly for Fun, better known to its fans as Flyff, is going to have a massive update before fall 2008 is over. Version 12 (V12) of the popular, free-to-play massive multiplayer online game (MMO) will bring many updates players have been waiting for, like a Lord System, a new location and a special new boss. An exact date for the update has not been provided.

The focus of the Flyff update is on the Lord System, Forsaken Tower Location and Rangda enemy. The Lord System allows players to vote for a Lord in their area, and that Lord will be able to start EXP, item drop, and attack or defense boost events in his/her area. So its almost like you’ll get to vote for a GM. The Forsaken Tower is the all new location, complete with new monsters to defeat. The last addition is Randga, a new boss that is available in four incarnations - Rangda, Horrible Rangda, Uncanny Rangda and Dreadful Rangda. Each one has three unique, special items that might be dropped after a battle.

Flyff is an MMORPG where flying is a big part of the activity. You can engage in typical MMORPG battles and adventures. You can also engage in battles while flying through the air or take part in duels against other players. Another interesting aspect of Flyff is that Cash Shop items can be traded and sold among players. So even if you can’t afford to buy something from the Cash Shop, you might be able to find another player who’s selling off Cash Shop items he/she bought.
