First Call of Duty 4 expansion pack coming April 2008
In the five months since its release, the military first-person shooter Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has proven to be one of the best video games in recent memory. Since November 2007, Call of Duty 4 has sold more than 7 million units around the world, won of dozens of awards and (since early 2008) remained the number one game on Xbox Live. Now fans will have more reasons to stay online for another 5 months with the first expansion to the popular series.
On April 3, 2008, Activision and Infinity Ward will release an expansion pack titled Call of Duty 4: Game of the Year Edition (GOTYE). This new expansion won’t include any new additions or upgrades to the single-player game but instead will focus exclusively around four new multiplayer maps for online play: Creek, Broadcast, Kill House and Chinatown.
Creek is an open village type area while Broadcast will support a lot of close-quarters in-door combat. Kill House is an abandoned warehouse and Chinatown, which looks to be the best of the new maps, is just as its name suggest. This map takes place in San Francisco’s famed Chinatown.
For right now it doesn’t seem that the new expansion pack will be released any time soon on the PC or the PlayStation 3, but instead sold solely for the Xbox 360 as a $10 (800 Microsoft points) download through Xbox Live, as well as being sold separately in stores.

Activision and Infinity SUCK !! Leaving out the BEST platform, PS 3… Why would ANYBODY deal with Xbox except for Halo… the ONLY saving grave for the red circle of death box…
on April 4, 2008 at 12:01 PM - LINK(Actually I liked Activision and Infinity prior to reading this!!!)
Dave what are you smoking. Just because you own a PS3 doesn’t make it “the BEST platform”. In fact, I would argue that the best platform in terms of performance will always be a custom-built PC. And the expression you are looking for is “saving grace”. Nobody at Infinity nor Activision cares two shakes whether you like them or not, they are too busy rolling around in cash and buying new sports cars.

the ps3 sucks, plain and simple. anyone who has played both the nextgen consoles knows that. call of duty 4 sucks and will continue to suck until they release an expansion with more guns, more camos, more perks, more than one weapon attachment, and more maps

on August 29, 2008 at 11:31 AM - LINKyea, consoles are pretty much low end gameing, for people who cant wrap their mind around the generally superior control of a mouse and keyboard. omg im so annoyed at the console explosion, its like mediocrity is king nowadays. GO PC, F@CK CONSOLE GARBAGE
