Final Fantasy XIII may be available on multiple platforms, but Final Fantasy Agito XIII will stick with Sony’s PSP. Square Enix’s 2008 DKΣ3713 event in Japan revealed that the third entry in the FFXIII compilation, which was at first rumored to be a cell phone exclusive, is now going to appear on the PSP. A release date has not been set.
FFAgitoXIII had a trailer appear at the event and some hints at game elements. Like FFVIII, it will be set at a school and feature 12 students as the main characters. It is rumored to be an action RPG with some online elements. Final Fantasy Advent Children Complete will come with a FFAgitoXIII trailer, as well as a FFVersusXIII trailer and a FFXIII demo.
With FFAgito, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Dissidia and The 3rd Birthday, it is clear to see that Square Enix is going to stand by and support the PSP. Perhaps this wave of support will help signal the end of the recent PSP game drought.
