Remember that Lionhead announcement that we told you about two weeks ago? Well, Lionhead has finally been able to announce their “big news”. Fable II will be getting a good chunk of downloadable content that will arrive sometime by “mid-December”. Mid-December? This was a little disappointing to hear, since I was hoping for something sooner. I guess beggars can’t be choosers.
Actually, wait a minute, that statement might not apply here, as Lionhead is actually going to allow beggars to become choosers.
Two kinds of DLC will be coming in December, one free and one paid. According to 1UP, the free content pack will include “Knight’s Boots, Assassin’s Gloves, a special Weight Loss Potion, collectible silver book, and more”. Not bad for the beggars.
There will also be the Knothole Island premium pack for 800 Microsoft points ($10). Knothole Island promises (from the press release):
If players want to play co-op on Knothole Island, both players must have the premium content. No piggy backing here.
It sounds like there will be a fair amount of content to be enjoyed here, though that resurrection shrine sounds like trouble. Without spoiling anything, those who choose the sacrifice path might know what I’m talking about.
