The press conference will probably be of most interest, as it is going to discuss the company’s newest games. For example, DOFUS 2.0 and Islands of Wakfu are on the schedule, as well as an announcement of some new partnerships. Journalists who want to attend this conference have to register though, but it’s worth it! Every person who comes to the conference gets a gift and a free buffet meal. Registered journalists also get exclusive access to Ankama’s VIP area, where they’ll get to test Islands of Wakfu for the Xbox 360 Live Arcade.
That’s not to say that the normal booth features are going to be boring. They’re fantastic as well. The playable demo of DOFUS 2.0 will be on 64 computers for people to test, and everyone who comes to the booth to check it out will be given access to the DOFUS 2.0 beta. Attendees can also see the DOFUS Game Show, watch Wakfu episodes and enter to win free Ankama stuff.
If you decide to attend GamesCom and you’re an Ankama fan, go the extra mile. Dress up as a DOFUS or Wakfu character. The company’s announced that if you do and you come visit them, they’ve give you an additional gift. If you can’t make it, then head to your PC, Mac or Linux computer and play a little DOFUS to console yourself.
