The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) isn’t taking this problem lightly as it had in a recent raid in Guadalajara, Mexico. With the help of Mexican authorities, the ESA recovered a treasure cove of illegal games.
The San Juan de Dios Market was the target for the operation in which 91,200 games, 130,000 video game cover inserts and 3,200 video game boxes were successfully recovered. The CEO of the ESA Michael D.Gallagher gave thanks to the authorities that conducted this raid by saying markets such as these hurt legitimate places of business and the ESA will continue to support other law enforcement agencies around the world in this regard.
The ESA’s press releases didn’t state what games were seized or which consoles those games belonged to. The recovered games were just a portion of 20 tons of materials that were seized from this particular market.
