EarthBound now VC bound?

It looks as if beloved SNES role-playing game EarthBound will be receiving a Virtual Console release. According to a post at GameLife, the title has just gotten an ESRB rating, a signal that the game is ready for release. There’s no word on when it’ll come out, but the fact that it’s been rated is a pretty solid sign that it will.
In case you didn’t know, the game is a cult favorite RPG from the heady mid ‘90s era of the Super NES. It routinely makes “best-of” lists to this day.
I’m very excited by the news - as an RPG fan and someone who missed out on the game (and subsequently spent the last 13 years hearing about how awesome it is) I can’t wait to give it a shot.
