If you’re one of the people who picked up Madden ‘09 recently you may have felt a little bummed out over the cover picture. As many sports fans may already know, Brett Favre has signed on with the New York Jets which posed an obvious problem for Madden’s cover art where Favre is shown in full Green Bay attire. All is not lost, though, as EA has stepped in with a solution just for this occasion.
All you have to do is go to the EA website and download a high resolution photo of Favre wearing his Jets uniform. The photos are available for the PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, and PSP version of the game. I would recommend using some good quality printing paper to make the cover look as realistic as possible.
In addition to that, EA has updated the Madden ‘09 roster to put Favre on the Jets. Once you pop the game in the download will start automatically. If you happen to be offline, EA recommends going to the “NFL Greats” roster in Franchise Mode and listing Farve as a free agent. From there you can move him to any team you see fit. It may take a little longer but it does help to keep the experience as up to date a possible.
