EA offers $10 coupon to email list subscribers

by PJ Hruschak on Feb 28, 2008 at 07:33 AM

gamertell ea store logo On Monday (February 25, 2008), EA Sports sent an email to its list subscribers for $5 off any game valued $29.95 or more through the EA online store. They must have been a little fuzzy over at EA from all the Take-Two buyout chatter since someone forgot to paste the coupons code in the email. (Insert your own Homer Simpson-style “Doh!” impression here.)

To make up for the mistake, EA Sports has sent a new email to offer a $10 coupon. No doubt it is an effort to promote EAStore’s newest feature - downloadable games. Here’s the new email with disclaimer:

Subject: EA SPORTS Newsletter Correction: $10 Off—Details Enclosed

Dear EA SPORTS fan,

We realized that our last EA SPORTS newsletter which mailed on Monday did not include redemption details for the $5 offer.  In an effort to clear up any confusion, we would like to offer you $10 off* any purchase of $29.95 or more, exclusively from the EA STORE. [link removed]

To take advantage of this offer, enter this promo code at checkout: [code removed]

As always, your loyalty to EA SPORTS is much appreciated.

Sincerely,
- EA Sports

I’m not big on reporting small mistakes, bur when it turns into a $10 deal, I’ll give it some attention. See, sometimes it pays (or rebates?) to sign up for email newsletters. Thanks for the ten bucks, EA Sports!
