EA might allow Spore to create more than virtual life forms

Chris Hecker, one of the developers of Spore at Maxis, told Rocky Mountain News that Spore and the Spore engine could change how people will view video games in the future. This would open an opportunity for gamers to personalize as well as customize how they play their games.
The only obstacle EA faces right now is allowing gamers to have more than one account without purchasing an entirely new game. That’s according to the Consumerist who reported that gamers have already begun to complain about the account per game issue despite the handbook stating they could have more than one.
I can see where it would create havoc having to share an account with a sibling, having created your lifeform just the way you want it only to have your little brother or sister change it while they are in their critical stages of evolution. It was already bad enough that the Spore servers dropped, disappointing a few gamers who couldn’t get their activation codes verified while installing, causing online privileges to be denied.
But what company doesn’t have a few hurdles here and there? The idea of being able to create life has even put a spur in the sides of a few religious communities. Over all, EA and Maxis were able to create a program that is not an engine like the Quake engine or even Unreal. Its more of an application or new technology that is applicable to a variety of game genre and used on all platforms according to Game Daily.
In some respect, the game has opened a new door to many new possibilities of gaming involving more player interaction with their games than before.
