E3 2009: Gamepark Holdings “hardly had time to rest”

by PJ Hruschak on Jun 15, 2009 at 01:38 PM

gp2x qiz logo gamepark holdingsAs game companies begin to regain some sense of sanity a week after E3 2009, some are starting to send reactions to the event.

Located at Booth 500, Gamepark Holdings Co., Ltd., was demonstrating its latest open source handheld game system, the GP2X Wiz.

Here’s the company’s reaction to E3 2009:

We had a huge success with our open source handheld and our booth was well visited. Our three staff members hardly had time to rest and keep up with all inquiries but we managed to inform everyone with the desired information. The GP2X Wiz in our show case has been tested by several guests, distributors and developers.

That sounds a little better than the general feeling of boredom indicated by GameCock’s former CEO, Mike Wilson.

The GP2X Wiz is currently available for $180 and, since the software development kit (SDK) is free and the system is backwards compatible with some GPX games, there promises to be a lot to play with the little handheld. The first batch of pre-ordered systems have already been sent out (and anyone who pre-ordered also received a fee 1 GB SD card). Don’t forget to check out our review of the GP2X Wiz and the Photo Gallery.
