E3 2009: Atlus’ announces six of the games in its lineup

Atlus has decided to tease the public with some initial E3 2000 game announcements. The company plans to have six games on display at the event, but also hints that some additional, unannounced games will also be on display at the company’s E3 booth and announced on June 2, 2009.

So far, the games that will be shown are all winners. An official press release reveals that Demon’s Souls, Neo Steam, Shin Megami Tensei Persona and Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor will all be playable. Personally, I’m surprised that Class of Heroes, Knights in the Nightmare and Steambot Chronicles: Battle Tournament aren’t listed among the titles that will be brought to the event.

Here’s a quick look at what Atlus is going to be showing off:

Demon’s Souls
Platform: PS3
Tentative Release Date: Winter 2009
Genre: Action RPG
Description: An action RPG where you’re firced to battle your way through all sorts of monsters and demons, trying to survive. It’s known for being very customizable and very difficult.

Droplitz
Platform: iPhone, PC, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade
Tentative Release Date: June, 2009
Genre: Puzzle
Description: A matching, multiplatform puzzle game where you must match similar colored dials so you don’t lose droplitz.

Neo Steam
Platform: PC
Tentative Release Date: 2009
Genre: MMORPG
Description: Atlus’ steampunk MMORPG is going to be available at the event in a playable beta form.

Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor
Platform: DS
Tentative Release Date: June 23, 2009
Genre: Strategic RPG
Description: An unusual mix of strategic RPG, adventure game and standard RPG, Devil Survivor takes place in a modern day Tokyo that is under seige by demons. In order to survive and keep Tokyo from being destroyed in seven days, our heroes must fight and make pacts with demons

Shin Megami Tensei Persona
Platform: PSP
Tentative Release Date: Fall 2009
Genre: RPG
Description: This is a remake of the PlayStation game Revelations: Persona, with a brand new localization, new character art and look, new animated sequences and other major gameplay and graphical changes.

Trauma Team
Platform: Wii
Tentative Release Date: Spring 2010
Genre: Hospital Simulation
Description: Think of Trauma Team as a more complicated version of Trauma Center. Rather than working as one doctor, it looks like you’ll work as a team of medical professionals, trying to help people who are sick or injured.
