E for All is again going to be taking place in October. The second annual E for All will be once again held at the Los Angeles Convention center and will run from October 3-5, 2008. According to GameDaily, the convention was originally going to be held August 28-30, 2008. However since the Penny Arcade Expo already had been scheduled for August 29-31, 2008 in Seattle, the dates were changed. I guess they figured the Penny Arcade Expo would steal E for All’s thunder.
The original E for All was held October 18-21, 2007 in the Los Angeles Convention Center. Attendence was moderate, but there weren’t any massive numbers, 18,000 people reportedly attended, and there were 32 hours of gameplay offered for anyone who did make it to all four days of the event. E for All is open to everyone, provided they register and pay the entrance fee. Hopefully this year’s numbers will be better than last years, now that people have an idea what the convention is all about.
It’s a good thing the date was changed, or the Penny Arcade Expo would have totally overshadowed E for All. Almost everyone interested in video games has heard of the Penny Arcade Expo. As for E for All, well, it needs to work a little more on its visibility. Maybe take out some ads in Game Informer or something.
