Some European PSPgo owners have found that the PSPgo Rewards didn’t work out the way they planned. It turns out if they download their three free games to their PS3, then transfer them to their PSPgo, DRM kicks in and renders the games useless. They can’t play them.
Sony is aware of the problem. At the moment, the company is advising that any PSPgo owners wanting to redeem and download their three free games directly download the titles to their PSPgo to avoid any problems. A forum moderator at the Official European PlayStation Community forum states that Sony is working to try and accomodate users who downloaded their PSPgo Reward games to their PS3 and now possess useless games.
It’s a shame that something like this happened, but at least it seems like Sony is going to do something to help. Between the firmware 3.00/3.01 issues and this, it certainly isn’t shaping up to be Sony’s year. If you’re in Europe and upgraded to a PSPgo, please remember to only directly download your PSPgo Rewards!
