Titled Dragon Quest V: Hand in the Heavenly Bride, the game will be ported to the Nintendo DS like the series’ last release, Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen, and has the release date of February 17, 2009.
The game was earlier ported to DSes in Japan only but now it’s our turn and only a little late for Valentine’s Day (for those of you who can’t hack games)! Of course, where I’m going to find time to play it with Little Big Planet, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest IV still in my backlog, I have no idea.
While the official site has yet to go live, Siliconera did post some details about the upcoming RPG port, including a short premise of the storyline which basically has you playing the role of a child slave who grows up, escapes, and then gets married. Of course, Square Enix hasn’t forgotten to include some bonus features in the game and for Dragon Quest V they’ve given us another lady to marry named Deborah.
A game with marriage - now you know why they chose a release date close to Valentine’s Day.
