Important Importables
Jenni Lada brings us information about all of the groovy new gaming imports from around the world.

Gurumin stars Parin, a young girl who is sent to live with her grandpa in a deserted mountain town. She’s the only kid there, so initially she’s a bit lonely. Then she meets two friendly monsters, and is invited to the Monster Village adjacent to the town. She makes friends and everything’s cool, until some bad spirits known as the Phantoms abduct all the friendly monsters. Parin steps up, grabs the Legendary Drill, and goes to save her monster friends.
Okay, when I got Gurumin, it was used at GameStop for $9.99. Why would someone pay $14.99 when they could walk, catch a bus or drive to their local GameStop and pick up a UMD version of the game? You’d be able to save space for something more important on your memory card. Course Wal-Mart‘s still selling the game new for $39.82 online, so maybe it isn’t that bad a deal after all.
That being said, I love the game. If you like action RPGs like Legend of Zelda or Kingdom Hearts, and you own a PSP, then you absolutely must try Gurumin. You must. It’s a really great game with a lot of fun characters. Except for that purple monster with the mustache and top hat - he freaks me out.
