The test track is the main attraction at the moment, and really the only thing to do at the website. It’s a preliminary racing game, at the moment. You can create a car and then race on either the Training Track or Carburetor County Speedway. There’s a Racing Sports Network Leaderboard up for both tracks, so players can keep track of their progress. Also, players collect the Cars Mattel toys, the codes from that can be entered into the game to get extra stuff. You need Flash to access the site and play the game, so make sure your browser has a plug-in installed.
The World of Cars trailer skims over some of the game’s various features and shows them in action:
The official The World of Cars Online game is going to basically be a racing MMO. Players create a car avatar, then explore the world of Radiator Springs and Carburetor County. They can take part in races, create a track and garage, play mini-games, talk to characters from the movie that appear as NPCs, make friends and race with other players and update their cars.
