Discover where Gen’ll be getting things done in Hammerin’ Hero

Hammering Hero Atlus PSP
More information has been revealed about the delightfully simple and entertaining PSP game Hammering Hero, courtesy of Atlus. We all already know that it is a game where the whole point is for Gen to hammer and beat down opponents, because of a very bad man known as construction company owner Hyosuke Kuromoku and his bad employees/henchmen to save the town. Now, we know a bit more about where Gen will be fighting.

We already knew that Gen was more than a meager carpenter. Or at least, he’s a carpenter who likes to moonlight at other jobs like a DJ or chef, as well. We also knew that we could have English or Japanese voices and play the game with a friend. Now, we know that Gen will be fighting his way through the small town of Beranme Town, a city’s Busy Crosswalk, a Manly Amusement Park, the Oishii Restaurant District, the Turukame TV Studio, Under Fukie Bay, at the Grand Slam Stadium and by Seashell Seashore. There are reportedly 12 stages, and if each location is considered a stage, we now we know about eight of them.

Right now, Hammerin’ Hero is set for a March 3, 2009 release date. It is going to be rated Everyone 10+ (no wonder, with all that hammering) and will cost $29.99. It’s kind of a shame it won’t be out sooner - aside from DJ Max Fever and Star Ocean: Second Evolution, there aren’t many PSP games coming out in soon.
