Devil May Cry 4 demo available on the PS3, Xbox 360

by Lucy Newman on Jan 26, 2008 at 05:54 PM

Devil May Cry 4 demoBetter dust off Alastor and reload ebony and ivory, because its time to unleash a flurry of awesome beat downs to a hungry horde of demons. The Devil May Cry 4 playable demo is now available through both the PlayStation Network Store (PS3) and on Xbox Live (Xbox 360).

If you’re like me, you’ve been drooling over the teasers and commercials found on YouTube for far too long and can’t wait to slay some demons. The demo will satisfy your thirst for action because it will feature playable selections of the full game to allow gamers new to the DMC series a chance to experience the game play, sound and feel of the game.

The demo introduces us to a new character in the DMC franchise, Nero, along with his unique movements and attack combos. Many familiar faces make appearances in the new game, including Lady from DMC3 and Trish from the first game. I haven’t seen any hints that Lucia from DMC2 will be in the game but the new female character, Gloria, seems to have some awesome moves of her own.

Keep in mind the game demo is free but is rated “Mature” by the ESRB for blood, language, sexual themes and violence. If you do not have Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network yet, the official Devil May Cry website will provide a glimpse of the game along with information you can still find useful as you prepare for DMC4.
