Details for Fallout 3’s Operation Anchorage expansion pack

Bethesda’s lead producer for the upcoming Fallout 3 downloadable content, Jeff Gardiner, unveiled a mountain of information in a recent interview with IGN, regarding the downloadable content that has us anxiously ticking off the days until next year. The main focus was on first of three planned downloadable content packs, Operation Anchorage, which is due out in January 2009 for 800 Microsoft points.
Operation Anchorage will be a simulation of the “famous liberation of Anchorage from Fallout lore” from the Chinese red army. The virtual simulation will be four to five hours long and will include new achievements, new weapons, new armor as well as a new perk titled “Covert Ops.”
Mr. Gardiner also mentioned that Bethesda will be launching a patch for all versions of Fallout 3. this leads us to assume that even though the Playstation 3 version will not see the downloadable content, it will see a fix to those pestering bugs.
Also revealed was that the third installment of the Fallout 3 downloadable content, Broken Steel, will be increasing the level gap from the previous cut-off of level 20. The Broken Steel pack will also allow players to finally continue on after the main quest ends, something many players were disappointed they couldn’t do.
