GameTribe’s Dekaron entered the open beta/commercial phase on May 19, 2008. Since Dekaron is your standard, dungeon exploring, character grinding, free to play MMO, this all just means that the cash item shop has opened and everyone is now welcome to create a character, So if you’re into this sort of game, it may be worth checking out.
Unfortunately, Dekaron isn’t like Trickster Online or the various Nexon MMO’s and you can’t see the cash shop unless you actually create an account and download the client. My computer’s connection isn’t that fast, so we’ll have to rely on the press release’s account of cash shop items. Supposedly you can now buy (with real money) costumes, animals, items and extra inventory slots to make adventuring in Dekaron easier.
Dekaron’s screen shots look nice, but it always annoys me when the cash shop can’t have its own page online. Its tedious to have to actually log into the game to determine if there is actually something worth spending real money. Not that I’ve ever paid for anything in a free MMO, but if I was the kind of person who did, I’d want to be able to see items outside of the game.
