The Culdcept SAGA demo from Namco Bandai is now available as a download on Xbox LIVE. Culdcept SAGA is a hybrid which combines a board game and a trading card game to allow one to four players to compete. Players must use their trading card decks to battle against monsters roaming around the board game map, all while trying to be the one with the most land squares. The demo is a free download.

It offers a surprising amount of features for a free demo. While it does not offer online play or custom decks, like the full version will, it does have a single player and a multiplayer mode. In multiplayer mode two to four people can gather and play, so it can still be a lot of fun as long as you don’t mind using premade decks.

The full version of Culdcept SAGA will be available February 5, 2008 for the Xbox 360. It will cost $39.99 when it is available. The rating for the game is still pending.
