Crisis Core jewelry in the Square Enix shop

In anticipation of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, the Square Enix online shop is going to be updating with a slew of new jewelry items related to the game. All of the items silver and made of very high quality materials. Prices are not yet available for all of the items, however on March 7, 2008 all three will be available online in the store so be sure to check them out then. The three new additions are the “Loveless” locket, a SOLDIER keychain and a Sephiroth ring.
Personally I think that the “Loveless” locket is the most striking of the three. It is a silver locket shaped like a book on a delicate silver chain. FFVII fans may remember that “Loveless” is the name of a play which keeps popping up throughout the original game, and also has hidden cameos in others. The story of “Loveless” is allegedly similar to Aerith’s plight and in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Genesis often reads from and quotes the book.
The Sephiroth ring is also very attractive. It is a silver ring with a black onyx sphere set in the middle of Sephiroth’s one wing to represent the Meteor materia. On the inside of the band “One-Winged Angel” is engraved. It also is very pretty, but somehow I get the impression that this one could be a bit pricey. For example the Aerith Holy materia necklace in the Square Enix shop is $104.99. Since both pieces are silver with a semi-precious stone, the price of the Sephiroth ring could also be quite high.
The SOLDIER keychain is the final new addition and perhaps the least impressive. The press release does not reveal what the keychain is made of, but it doesn’t appear to be silver based on photographs. It is emblazened with the words “SOLDIER CLASS 1st” and has the insignia found on SOLDIER uniforms above that. It has four rings dangling below for keys and a standard clasp keychain on the top for hooking onto items.
