Combat Arms is a great online first-person shooter that is currently a free download from Nexon. We recently reviewed Combat Arms and appreciated how much dedication is being continually put into it ever since it was first released.
If you haven’t already given Combat Arms a try, now is the perfect time. Combat Arms now boasts 1 million users in its growing online army. Nexon is so pleased with this, it’s decided to give us a little treat in the form of a new map and a new game play mode.
The map, called Waverider, takes place in an environment littered with dozens of rooftops. It is the largest map in the game that caters nicely to those of us who like to run out guns blazing, or stick behind a wall and play sniper. Nexon is also giving us a couple new weapons, gear and a new male character to play as just in time for Halloween. When you boot up Combat Arms, the game should start downloading the patches automatically.
The new gameplay mode is called Bounty Hunter. The concept is simple and insanely fun. The computer selects a player at random to become the bounty while the other players try to take them out. The hunted is better off playing the stealthy role than trying to take out up to 15 other players at once. The longer the bounty stays alive, the more Gold Points they will receive.
