Campaign08Games lets you make hilarious election themed web games

by Jeremy Hill on Oct 16, 2008 at 08:45 AM

Oil WhackerThe 2008 presidential election is less than a month away and has successfully infiltrated the videogame world. We’ve seen billboards for Sen. Barack Obama inside Burnout Paradise as well as polls taken over Xbox Live. You can now make your own politically themed games thanks to Fryebug Inc. through the Campaign08Games website.

This site lets you pick the a type of game you want to create such as moles, shells or boxer. You then choose related 2008 election images to use in your game followed by sound effects and music.

It’s all very simple to create and takes no time at all. I went ahead and created my own game you can play below called Oil Whacker. It’s based on the classic Whack-A-Mole game and features Sen. Barack Obama taking a whack at oil in Washington DC.

Once you’re done making a hilarious statement you can embed your Flash-based game wherever you like - on a web page, in a blog, in a forum, etc. - and invite friends to try it out.

Of course, if you don’t want to bother making a game, there are already plenty to play on the site, including a few featuring Hilary Clinton. Obama vs. McCain Tennis anyone?
