The Ad-Aware Game Edition program costs $24.95 for a one year license. That means, throughout that one year period, you’ll always have the most up-to-date protection. That $24.95 only covers the digital download though, so if you want a backup CD you need to pay an additional $9.95. There is also no trial or free version of Ad-Aware Game Edition, so you can’t try it to see if you like it before purchasing it. Also, it is only for Windows PCs.
A nice feature is that you get a free casual PC game when you purchase Ad-Aware Game Edition. The press release mentions being able to choose from Bejeweled 2, Mean Girls: High School Showdown, Peggle, Ranch Rush and Tradewinds Odyssey. Not bad, considering those cames can sometimes cost up to $19.99. The only thing I noticed is, if you go to the website it only shows Bejeweled 2, Peggle and Ranch Rush as being available.
If you’ve never used Ad-Aware before, think the Ad-Aware Game Edition sounds good, but don’t want to buy without trying it, I recommend going with Ad-Aware Free. It’s only available for personal home use and is, as the name suggests, a free download. I used it for a while in college and highly recommend it as a trustworthy anti-malware program.
