Rodney Gray, an employee for Technicolor - a company that “provides disc and game packaging, warehousing, distribution and production” - was picked up by police officers conducting an investigation. According to the police affidavit, police pulled Gray over and found 31 games in a bag in his car. They later searched his home and found 97 copies of Fable 2 and Gears 2 and 807 DVDs valued at approximately $100,000.
I guess this is one victory for game companies and the people who honestly wait for a games official release. There is another man the police are looking into right now for similar charges but no arrests have been made.
For all of us law-abiding citizens, Gears of War 2 can be legally purchased on November 7, 2008, and Fable 2 will be legally available on October 21, 2008.
