British Wii-exercisers damaging their homes
Overenthusiastic female Wii-exercisers in UK are relentlessly damaging their own houses. According to an intriguing study by British insurance company Sheila’s Wheels, female Wii Fit gamers in the UK are responsible for cumulative damage worth £20.1 million ($40 million) to their homes.
In the study, women confessed to having damaged costly vases and furniture during Wii Fit-induced hysteria. The study also revealed that these British female Wii-exercisers are also severe on their pets, accidentally sending them for a toss. Animal rights activists around the world won’t be too appreciative of this particular demographic and its antics.
Just for the record, each female Wii-Fit player in the UK was responsible for £6.55 ($13 approx) of damage last year. These women have a special penchant for crashing into furniture as 30% of those polled admitted to have done that.
Similar studies in other parts of the world would be interesting. Then only will it become clear whether it is a global phenomenon or something in the British air. As the British say, “God save the Queen.”

Please read your source betters. I have seen this misquoted across the net. The survey worked out the damages cause by women doing all kinds of home exercise programs (VHS, DVD etc.) over a year. There was then a comment to suggest it may go up with the advent of Wii fit, as home exercise becomes more popular.
The survey was run by a UK company called Sheila’s Wheels - trying to sell home insurance.
