Blizzard’s Worldwide Invitational heading to Europe in June 2008

by Christopher Buckner on Feb 11, 2008 at 04:31 PM

blizzard worldwide invitationalAfter already touring across the United States and Asia, Blizzard’s Worldwide Invitational is making its way to Europe. This will be the fourth such Invitational, which will take place at Porte De Versailles Exposition Center in Paris, France, June 28-29, 2008.

Fans at this year’s event will get the chance to rub shoulders with Blizzard’s key artist, writers, developers and masterminds behind such epic titles as World of Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo. Attendees will also be able to take part in a silent auction while listening to musical performances of many classic Blizzard tracks.

The highlight of the two-day event will no doubt be the chance for fans to get their hands on World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, the forthcoming expansion pack for the world’s most popular MMO. A playable version of the highly anticipated sequel to Starcraft should also be on hand. It was during last May’s Korean Worldwide Invitational that the game was first revealed.

European gamers can expect to pay the sum of 55 Euros, or around 80 US dollars.
