Ready to dive in to the wondrous world of Rapture on the PS3? The thoughtful, atmospheric FPS from 2K Boston, Digital Extremes, 2K Australia and 2K Marin has gone gold for Sony’s console, and is confirmed for a US launch date of October 21, 2008, with an October 17 release worldwide. A demo (which infamously sparked a huge word-of-mouth campaign that partially secured the success of the Xbox 360 original) will drop on the PlayStation Network this Thursday - October 2, 2008.
The game will feature bonus material in the form of new scenarios, as well as a new difficulty mode. If you loved the first iteration, or you’ve never played, it’s pretty much a must-buy. I know I can’t wait, since I’ve long been a BioShock fanatic.
