In one of the most meta announcements of late, FHM and Betson enterprises (makers of Big Buck Hunter Pro arcade game), are holding a contest for fans to hunt down BBHP machines in order to win one. Participants seek out BBHP machines (hint: look in the back room of every bar you can find), take their picture next to the unit, and post the picture (along with the location address) on the contest’s website. Each valid entry enters you into the sweepstakes to win an arcade unit of the game, valued at $6,000.
The game itself is a popular hunting simulation, and a huge moneymaker for neighborhood bars and arcades. Players take the attached rifle peripheral and hunt down deer, elk, antelope, big horn sheep and moose in various woodland settings.
Already, some of the world’s most awesomely bad hunting poses are available for your entertainment on the contest site. I’m sure the eventual winner will be very proud of his catch. All joking aside, it’s actually kind of a cool idea and a fun use of Google maps.
