As we’ve mentioned before, Steal Princess is an unusual game where you play as Anise, a thief who has been the option to be the hero, save the prince and defeat an evil demon king or be imprisoned. Naturally, she chooses the option that sends her off through 150 puzzling levels to collect treasure, defeat enemies and perform heroic acts.
The game also comes with a level editor so you can create your own challenges for Anise. Plus, there’s Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support, so if you think you’ve devised an especially devious puzzle and you wish to inflict it on other unwitting players, you can.
An official Steal Princess website is also open. You can see a trailer and a few screenshots there, and learn how the game works. There’s also an interesting story section where you can get the long version which is incredibly detailed, even chronicling how long the original Hero’s fight against the original Ancient Demon King lasted (3 hours, 27 minutes) and a short version that gives you the gist of everything. The character section also has profiles up for Anise and her fairy assistant Kukri. The Extras and other characters sections are still empty though, so you’ll have to check back later for those areas.
