When closed, the matte black console storage unit tuns into an obelisk with blue LED underlighting. It also has wheels so you can move it around without scraping the crap out of your floor.
When open, the front panels open to 90 degrees, allowing you to easily access everything inside. The side has four hooks for storing controllers. According to the company’s press release, the setup can contain up to four consoles, six controllers, games (exact no. was not listed) and your standard audio-video components.
With the optional fan kit, is also a self-cooling unit with two fans and a 75 percent open backside, allowing for better ventilation than most entertainment storage units. With the wheels and open back, it’ll also be pretty easy to rewire stuff or check for loose connections. The back also offers a wire spine for wrapping cables, and a cradle for a 16-inch power strip.
Available May 2008. the Transformer Gaming Center will retail for $199.99. The lighting and fan kit will cost $59.99 extra.
