The Lego-themed adventures of the caped crusader are a little under a month from gracing our consoles and handhelds in Lego Batman: The Video Game. So far we’ve seen villains including The Joker, Two-Face, Man-Bat and Mr. Freeze who will give Batman and Robin a run for their blocks which is why it’s time to give some of Batman’s allies time in the spotlight.
Along with Robin, Batman will enlist the aid of Batgirl and his trusty butler Alfred. Yes you read that correctly, Alfred will be a playable character in Lego Batman: The Video Game.
Let’s face it, we usually look at Alfred as being Batman’s father figure. He gets tea, irons cloths and is one of the only people Batman trusts with his secret identity. However, Alfred is tougher than some of us may think. Alfred used to be an espionage agent who happens to be quite skilled in hand-to-hand combat.
Finally, a game where Batman and Alfred can team up to form the real dynamic duo. Check out this new trailer featuring Alfred as he fights evil all without ever dropping his dish tray:
Lego Batman: The game ships for all platforms on September 23, 2008.
