Yay! Toki, the tornado-creating cat, will be coming to North America. Okay, tornadoes are a bad thing, but the DS game Tornado is definitely the opposite of bad. Ignition and Success will be bringing the quirky action title to the DS sometime in Fall, 2008.

Tornado stars Toki, as I mentioned before. A strange alien prince, referred to only as Prince, from the Planet 69 (stop giggling) has stolen everything from Earth’s surface because he apparently liked our style. So Toki and the Cosmic Cleaners head to the Prince’s planet with “Tornado Machines” to gather up all the items again in tornadoes and send them back home to the planet Earth. So far Story, Arcade, Battle and Bonus game modes have been announced.

I think all DS owners have accepted the fact that Katamari Damacy will never, ever, ever be coming to our portable system. So Tornado (and hopefully Prey the Stars) are stepping up to fill the quirky action void in our hearts. Toki will never be the Prince from Katamari Damacy, but he’ll have to do. Maybe the “Prince” Toki is fighting against is really the Prince of the Cosmos!
