A new way to run through World of Warcraft

The primary means of travel in World of Warcraft is running. You run pretty much everywhere, and some fans became curious as to what it would be like to physically experience that same amount of running in real life. The result was Aaron and Elijah’s RL Race Across Azeroth.
These guys even worked out the how the running in WoW would correspond to running in the real world. They built a treadmill which would work with WoW, set it up so they would run at six mph and prepared to run from the gates of Shadowglen to the sentries of Darnassus. They also dressed up like their characters - for scientific purposes of course.
Elijah and Aaron’s Treadmill Race Across Azeroth video:
The result was an experience that taught them that running in WoW doesn’t even compare to real world running. This is probably one of the more interesting game mods I’ve seen in a long time. My favorite part of the whole experiment had to be “Step 7: Do stupod things on the treadmill,“ where they decided to try performing actions while running, just like their WoW characters. (You can see a sample of that part at the 3:20 point of the video.)

This, along with the Wii could help America’s child obesity problems in a very short space of time. The Wii has already become part of schooling activity in many UK schools and the results have been dramatic.
