Until then, let’s go with what we do know. First of all, it will be a multi-console title. DS, PC, PS3, PSP and Xbox 360 owners will all be able to lay claim to a Prince of Persia title for their systems. However the DS title will be different than the others, according to the press release, with a different story, characters and control scheme than the other titles released at the same time.
It also will apparently have a whole new design from previous games like Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. The press release uses lots of fancy words like “rejuvenate” and “illustrative.” You know, they could have just saved some time and said “different,” or “new.” I guess Ubisoft wanted to be all dramatic and creative.
Also the press release mentioned the Prince of Persia website, which is pretty disappointing at the moment. When you first visit, you see a brightly lit area with strange markings that is quickly engulfed by some seriously nasty black ooze. Foreshadowing perhaps?
So if Ubisoft is smart, and you know the company is, the new Prince of Persia will be out in time for the winter holidays. Yes Ubisoft is smart! Don’t hold those _____z animal games against them - parents and kids line up to buy those games. Ubisoft knows exactly what it is doing.
