5 Spirited Heart secrets to success
Spirited Heart is an awesome, indie simulation game. Awesome, but also incredibly challenging. Beginners can easily find themselves frustrated by expensive classes, relentless taxes and seemingly unrealistic job requirements.
That’s where this guide comes in. Initially, Spirited Heart is difficult, but with a little perseverance and quick thinking, you can find fairytale endings for every character you raise. The key is to think strategically and know what you want for your characters. If you set a goal and begin creating a game plan, you’ll have a better chance of being successful.
- Choose the Noble Family to raise your character. Noble characters start off the game with the most money, which means you can pay to train skills and build up your character’s attributes quicker.
- Splurge before you have to pay the tax on your earnings. Every three months, taxes are due. Keep track of when tax day is coming up. Then, the week before they’re due, splurge on attributes or a trip. The tax applies to the total amount of money you have, not what you made. So, you’ll only have to give the King a few pieces of gold. If you time things correctly, you could end up owing nothing.
- Focus on building stats for the Advanced Job. Once you get an Advanced Job, you get a lot more money. Plus, after maxing out the stat associated with an Advanced Job, you’ll get a bonus each time you perform it. You can then use the extra money you’ve earned to build up your other attributes and skills in the Train Skills section.
- When looking to marry off a character, earn the attribute stats (and then some) for the Advanced Job relating to the guy before visiting their Basic Job location. You can trigger random events for Thofte, Ramas, Janimee, Mgorem and at practically any age, so long as you visit that job. Be advised: I’m not sure if this applies to Frebo, as I haven’t successfully married off a character to him.
The Basic Jobs for the suitors (except Ramas) don’t boost the attributes needed to perform the Advanced Jobs they appear at, so it’s quicker to unlock the Advanced Jobs, then visit the guys at the Basic Jobs. Ramas is the only character who defies this, as the Guard job does boost Concentration, which is one of the attributes needed to unlock the Smith job.
Here’s a quick cheat sheet regarding the suitors:
- Ramas: Basic Job - Guard, Advanced Job - Smith
- Thofte: Basic Job - Farmer, Advanced Job - Gardener
- Janimee: Basic Job - Waitress, Advanced Job - Sexy Girl
- Frebo: Basic Job - Schoolgirl, Advanced Job - Wizard
- Mgorem: Basic Job - Maid, Advanced Job - Soldier
- Yuza: Basic Job - Tailor, Advanced Job - Cook
- Save often. If you don’t do particularly well in a job or at a class, you can always try reloading to see if you’d get different results. Also, if you save at every break, you don’t have to worry about making a bad decision when a random event pops up.

I managed to Marry Frebo! Same way as you marry anyone. I was the elf, dunno if that mattered. He is a jerk and cheats on you lol.
oh and thanks to your guide i managed to marry everyone but Janimee, Yuza, and Ramas…they are next! Even though Ramas seems like a jerk…
on May 17, 2009 at 11:40 PM - LINKoh wait i did marry Yuza…he was the first one!
on May 17, 2009 at 11:42 PM - LINKSo far I had her marry Thofte, Yuza and Janimee. Somehow I missed Frebo! He said he had to go to the front lines (my character was like… 26 then) and then I never saw him again!
on May 18, 2009 at 12:08 PM - LINKyeah you probably waited to long. He said that to me too, but then he came back later
on May 18, 2009 at 03:24 PM - LINKIt’s a great game and all!
... But…
By Frebo, when I finally become a wizard, I like talk to him until he says he has to go to a war, and when I was an elf, I asked if I should come as well, he replied “No, I’ll be to worried.”
on July 17, 2009 at 12:08 PM - LINKAfter that, he never returned. Anyone help me, please?
@ Liiiine: The same thing happened to me, however Jessi (who commented above) was able to get his ending. Apparently, you have to get that scene before you turn 26 years old. Perhaps when your character is 24 or 25.
on July 17, 2009 at 12:33 PM - LINKOoooh. :D Sorry, wasn’t really paying attention. ^^” Thank you. :)
on July 17, 2009 at 01:01 PM - LINKChallenging? I just spent 15 minutes clicking “repeat last job” and everything turned out perfectly. This game is the absolute worst Princess Maker clone I’ve ever played. If you’ve played PM2 to death and need to support an indie clone, just go with Cute Knight and be done with. At least that one has a little bit of substance.

on August 18, 2009 at 02:35 AM - LINKI don’t quite understand this part. Am I supposed to boost the attributes needed for the Advanced Job the guy I like will go to or not?
@ Joy: Exactly. Boost your character’s stats so they’ll fulfill the requirements of the advanced job. Then go to the basic job to unlock your first 3-4 visits with him. Then head to the advanced job to start seeing him again.
on August 18, 2009 at 12:30 PM - LINKNow I understand. Thanks a lot. ^^
on August 18, 2009 at 11:10 PM - LINKhuh? can someone help me too i think that i got the part of frebo when he says he has to go to war at the age of mine at 20 years old? is it normal or not normal? or do i still have to get that part on the age 24 or 25? and when will he come back will he come back at the age of 26 or 27 or 28?
CAN SOMEONE HELP.
on November 4, 2009 at 06:30 AM - LINKwait…... i see. when i read the comment of Joy and Jenni i understand now i told frebo i should come with him he said he is too worried then at the age of 26 i came back as a school girl then there are like 3 events happened to me. first: i saw Frebo came back and i told him to use his own money to do the experiment. second:Frebo told me to come with him with his magician friends third:he gave me an invitation to see a show and that is the time he told me to be his girlfriend so i accepted.
on November 4, 2009 at 06:48 AM - LINKand i finally married Frebo.
the game is really hard when you need to marry frebo.
yeah it’s all about timing! you have to make sure you are in the right place at the right time or else you miss your chances
on November 4, 2009 at 01:19 PM - LINKlol, i managed to marry all of them lol ! :D
