2K Games and 2K Sports releases its E3 2007 lineup

by PJ Hruschak on Jul 11, 2007 at 02:11 AM

Gamertell Bioshock box art Take-Two Interactive today (July 10, 2007) released the lineup of videogames on display at E3 2007 this week for its two 2K labels, 2K Games and 2K Sports.

The biggest 2K games are first-person shooter, Bioshock, and anew Sid Meier’s latest creation, Civilization: Revolution. As for 2K Sports, NHL and All-Pro Football get updates with 2K8 releases.
2K claims Bioshock is a “generticall enhanced” game that “lets players do things never before possible in the genre – turn everything into a weapon, biologically modify your body with plasmids, hack devices and systems, upgrade weapons and craft new ammo variants, and experiment with different battle techniques.“ Sounds like a combination of the Hulk smashing game and what The Matrix game was supposed to be. It’s another game with multiple story lines that promotes unique gameplay for every gamer. It is being developed by Irrational Games (part of 2K ) and will be available August 21, 2007, for the Xbox 360 and PC (Games for Windows brand).

Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution will be released Spring 2008 for Xbox 360 PS3 and DS and Fall 2008 for the DS.  developed by Fraxis Games (also a 2K property) the single-player mode will include real-time interaction with in-game resources/characters and the multiplayer mode will include video and voice chat.

Gamertell Darkness Box Art The Darkness, developed by Starbreeze Studios for th Xbox 360 and PS3, is currently available and already getting great reviews. The gritty game is based on the Top Cow comic book series written by Paul Jenkins and co-created by Marc Silvestri. It is a first-person, action-adventure horror game with a horror twist featuring a creepy character with cool powers and evil little minions known as Darklings.
